Since its establishment, with the purpose of “making coordinated development under the leadership of CPC building”, the CPC Committee has established the overall idea of “One goal, the building of learning-oriented, innovation-oriented and service-oriented CPC, and five mechanisms including the organizing and coordinating mechanism, the planning mechanism, the supervising and inspection mechanism, the assessment and evaluation mechanism, the publicity and guidance mechanism”, that is, taking it as the overall goal to control the direction with CPC building, unite efforts to promote development, and consolidate political support and play a political leading role in building an international first-class ecological integrated service platform for life science innovation and a highland for life science R&D with the world-class level”, according to the work plan of “laying a foundation and making progress in two years, bringing out the highlights and establishing the brand in three years”, it aims to solidly promote infrastructure construction and carry out CPC building in an orderly manner, making the majority of CPC members of non-public enterprises at the Park enhance the sense of belonging, consistently maintain political consciousness, core consciousness, consciousness of overall situation, and the consciousness of keeping pace with CPC, and enhance the cohesion, combat effectiveness and public appeal of CPC organizations.

The CPC Committee of the Life Science Park is responsible for the ideological and organizing work, work style, spiritual civilization and group work of non-public enterprises within the Zhongguancun Life Science Park. At present, Wang Yu, General Manager of t Beijing Zhongguancun Life Science Park Development Co., Ltd. serves as Secretary of the CPC Committee; Liu Yaotang, Assistant to General Manager of the Life Science Park, serves as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee; Zhao Yiyong from Wantai BioPharm, Qiao Zhen from Nutrichem, Si Yajun from EdiGene, Xu Dayong from EdiGene, Duan Rui from CentraGene, and Du Wen from Gene+ serve as the committee members. In order to promote CPC building of non-public enterprises in the Park more quickly and effectively, enhance the theoretical foundation of CPC building in the Park, improve the professional level of CPC affair workers in non-public enterprises, strengthen theoretical education and practical training for CPC members, cadres, and personnel actively applying for CPC membership, and continuously provide excellent talents for CPC organizations, the Life Park Branch of Changping District CPC School was officially established in November 2017. As of now, the Life Park CPC School has held 15 sessions for training, providing training a total of 3,000 CPC members and personnel actively applying for CPC membership.

So far, there are two commercial building workstations in the Park, Boya CC Building Workstation and Innovation Building Workstation; There are 74 CPC organizations, including 2 general CPC branches and 10 joint CPC branches, covering 881 CPC members, of which those with college degrees or above account for 96%, with 115 enterprises involved, and 64% coverage of CPC organizations in high-tech enterprises.

The CPC Committee of the Life Science Park takes it as the main task to effectively strengthen and improve the leadership of CPC, closely focusing on various production and business goals of enterprises to solidly carrying out activities such as training for personnel actively applying for CPC membership, learning CPC Constitution and regulations, series of speeches, and becoming an eligible CPC member), and conducting training and education on the history of CPC. CPC organizations at all levels strictly implement the procedures for recruiting CPC members, adhere to the standards for recruiting CPC members, and strictly follow the procedures for joining the CPC. As of now, 78 CPC members have been recruited; Under the command of the political construction of the CPC, focusing on regimenting the organizational system of the CPC, the CPC Committee does a good job in seriously and conscientiously conducting the general election of grassroots CPC organizations, and conscientiously holding the meeting for members of the CPC branches, CPC branch committee meeting, the CPC group meeting, and having CPC lectures on time, holds theme day activity, collects CPC membership dues, and distributes funds for CPC building; Based on the actual situation of non-public enterprises, the CPC Committee carries out cultural and sports activities enjoying popularity among employees by continuously diversifying the activity carriers, and successively held various activities such as fun sports meet, relay race, football match, basketball match, gathering on the Mid-Autumn Festival, mass parade on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, singing party of revolutionary songs, and visits to the Revolutionary Education Base for learning. The CPC Committee mobilizes the enthusiasm of non-public CPC organizations, establishes the awareness of striving for excellence, firmly strengthen the construction of standardization and normalization of CPC organizations, and solidly promote the evaluation on striving for excellence. In the Park, two CPC members have been successively awarded the title of “Outstanding CPC Member of Beijing”; The General CPC Branch of Wantai BioPharm was rated as “Exemplary Organization of Ideological and Political Work in Beijing in 2020”; The First CPC Branch of Nutrichem and the CPC Branch of EdiGene were selected as “Advanced Grassroots CPC Organizations in Changping District in 2021”; The CPC Committee of the Life Science Park, Wantai BioPharm, EdiGene and VenturePharm have been awarded the title of “Civilized Organization of Beijing”.
